The weeklong camp is a hands-on exploration of the culinary world that teaches campers kitchen fundamentals (basic knife skills, measuring, mixing, following recipes, and kitchen safety) while introducing them to new foods from around the world. Each day we will create specific meals inspired by global cuisine, from India to the Mediterranean. The idea is that students will eat the food they cook and learn to enjoy new tastes and flavors. Local fresh ingredients serve as a teaching tool to demonstrate seasonal availability of fruits and vegetables in our area. Your child will eat a full lunch and leave with recipes in a binder that are easily replicated at home. Ages are 9 to 14.
Payment in full is due upon registration and includes the five day course, a recipe packet and a complete lunch.
Refund policy; There are no refunds or exchanges on any kids camps. No exceptions. In the event of inclement weather, insufficient enrollment or any other circumstances beyond our control, a class may be rescheduled or canceled.
We make four recipes each day; appetizer, entree, side and dessert.
